2 cops, block health officer in ACB net

Nadiad, Gujarat, Aug 2 (UNI) Anti Corruption Bureau sleuths arrested a block health officer and two police constables in separate graft cases last evening.

The ACB sleuths laid a trap and arrested police constables, Virendrasinh and Mavsinh, while they were allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a scrap dealer Hussainbhai at Khambhatt here.

The two had allegedly demanded the amount from the dealer in order to suppress a criminal complaint against him.

In the second incident in Kapadwanj town under Kheda district, ACB sleuths laid a trap and caught a block health officer red-handed while accepting Rs 1000 from a retired medical officer, Ganpatrai Gupta.

ACB sources said M M Patel had demanded the amount from Dr Gupta in order to settle his pension dues. Dr Gupta informed the ACB following which a trap was laid and Patel arrested.
