11 medicine units raided in Lucknow

Lucknow, Aug 2 (UNI) Under the ongoing drive against fake medicine trade here, a team of district administration officials today conducted raids at 11 places and collected medicine samples.

Medicine units at different places were raided and samples sent to the laboratory for examination.

The team comprised food and medical department officials, Lucknow district magistrate Chandra Bhanu said here this evening.

The units were raided in Faizabad road, Krishnanagar, Indiranagar, T P Nagar road, Hussainganj, Daliganj, Thakurganj and Faridnagar, he added.

Earlier too, similar raids had been conducted in Uttar Pradesh, which led to the arrest of five persons.
