Yediyurappa exudes confidence on smooth transfer of power
Bangalore, Aug 1 (UNI) Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa today expressed confidence that transfer of power from Janata Dal(S) to coalition partner Bharatiya Janata Party as per their agreement will be smooth and Karnataka Labour Minister Iqbal Ansari, who opposed the transfer, will be inducted into the Council of Ministers when he forms his ministry.
Intervening during Question Hour in the Legislative Council, he scotched rumours over transfer of power on October three and said ''there is no truth behind the reports that the JD(S) may not keep its words and transfer power to the BJP.'' Mr Yediyurappa, who was announced as the Chief Ministerial candidate by the BJP high command, said Mr Ansari would be made a Minister. Mr Ansari, who was present in the House, did not react to Mr Yediyurappa's remark.
It may be recalled that Mr Ansari had publicly announced that Mr Kumaraswamy would continue as Chief Minister beyond October three and if the JD(S) extended its support to the BJP to form Government, he would opt out of the Ministry.
