Bhubaneswar, Aug 01 (UNI) It was not the birthday celebration of rational but irrational animals with the menu chart containing all the lip-smacking and mouth-watering delicacies.

Joy simply overflowed in the Nandankanan Zoo here as three little white tigers celebrated their birthday for the second year consecutively today with much fanfare.

Rishi, Sitesh and their sister Prachi, the three white tigers, born to Rohit and Salija, normal colour tigers, today turned three to join the celebration inside the Zoo.

The Principal Chief Conservator of forest cut the cakes for them, while buffallo meat stuffed in goat head were presented to the little white tigers as their special birthday gift from the Zoo authorities.

School children lined up to witness the birthday celebration, participated in a quiz competition and question-answer session, organised by the Nandankanan Zoo on the occasion in a bid to spread conservation message.

Nandankanan Zoo Director Ajit Pattnaik said five animal keepers were also felicitated on the occasion to boost their moral of the zoo keepers in the Zoo.

The authorities put up display board giving a brief history of the three white tigers who have become a major source of attraction for the visitors.

As special birthday gift, the three tigers would be now housed in newly built enclosures, inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in December last year.
