War like stores, including IEDs recovered in Kashmir
Srinagar, Aug 1 (UNI) Troops in border area of Tulail in north Kashmir recovered war like stores, including grenades, UBGLs, IEDs and assault rifles from a hideout, a police spokesman said.
He said troops of 17 Sikh Regiment launched a search operation at Bosgi Tulail early this morning following a tip off that militants had stored arms and ammunition in a hideout.
After a long search of the area, troops unearthed a hideout and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition, including four AK 56 rifles, 33 magazines, 7470 rounds of ammunition of 7.62 mm, five UBGL, 34 UBGL grenades, 22 hand grenades, two 9mm pistols, three magazines, 25 IEDs and six pouches.
However, no one was arrested, he said.
This was the first major recovery in the area this year.
