Tricity revs up for eRevolution 2007

Chandigarh, Aug 1 (UNI) The third edition of the two-day mega IT event, eRevolution 2007 will be inaugrated by Punjab Governor Gen (Retd) S F Rodrigues here tomorrow.

Mr M S Brar, Director IT, Chandigarh said here today that the event was a collective initiative of the Governments of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh along with the Software Technology Parks of India.

This time the programme scope has been expanded to include for the first time, besides IT-ITES industry agenda, and e-Governance, the state's initiative to promote entreprenuership in the region, which will be explored through the first day's Nasscom driven initiative on "Achieving Excellence Through 360 Degree Approach" as well as "Entreprenureship: Innovation is the Future".

Haryana Governor A R Kidwai shall be the chief guest for the awards function where the best IT/ITES companies from this region will be awarded.
