Singh rejects Shanta's demand for CBI inquiry in Bali episode
Shimla, Aug 1 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbahdra Singh today rejected former Union Minister Shanta Kumar's demand for a CBI inquiry into the Bali episode, saying it was not necessary after the minister had put in his papers.
''There is no justification in Mr Kumar's demand for a CBI inquiry into the Bali episode after the minister had resigned from the Cabinet,'' he told reporters here.
Referring to the presence of a BJP legislator in the ''indecent party'' at a hotel in Dharamshala town of Kangra district on Thursday night, he said one could raise doubts on the whole video clipping if he was not present in it.
The BJP legislator's picture were being focused time and again on the news channel during the showing of the video, giving rise to suspicion, he added.
