Seven more policemen chargesheeted in illegal liquor trade case

New Delhi, Aug 1 (UNI) Chargesheets were today filed against seven more policemen for their role in facilitating illegal liquor trade in Uttamnagar area of the capital.

Three other policemen had been chargesheeted in the case on July 28.

The complainant Chetan Prakash, a resident of the area, had recorded their activities on CDs and filed a petition in a local court. The Court had taken cognisance of it and referred the matter to the CBI.

All the seven policemen are of the rank of constable and head constable and have been charged under the Prevention of Corruption Act and Criminal Conspiracy Act.
