Salem allowed table fan in his cell
Mumbai, Aug 1 (UNI) The designated TADA court today allowed extradited gangster Abu Salem to have a table fan in his cell.
TADA court Judge P D Kode directed the Superintendent of Arthur Road Jail to allow Salem to use a table fan for two months, however, at his own cost.
Salem, who was extradited from Portugal by a CBI team in 2005 for his alleged role in the 1993 serial bomb blasts in Mumbai, is the second undertrial who will avail such luxury in the jail.
Incidentally, Sanjay Dutt, now imprisoned in the same jail, too had been allowed to use an electric fan by the court, when he was lodged as an undertrial in the Thane Central Jail in 1994-95.
