Prisoner attacks cop in Anand sub-jail
Anand, Aug 1 (UNI) The Anand sub-jail witnessed uproarious scenes today after a prisoner allegedly attacked a constable for not being allowed to go to the latrine.
The inmate, Dakshesh Bhavsar, asked constable Arvind Parmar to use the toilet. However, Parmar told him that since an inspection was about to commence, he would be allowed to use it later. Bhavsar replied that the nature's call was urgent and he should not be stopped.
When Parmar was unmoved, Bhavsar twisted the constable's arm fiercely, creating an uproar in the jail.
Outsiders, including the staff from the nearby mamlatdar office, also gathered to witness the scene. Finally, semblance of order was restored and a complaint has been filed against Bhavsar by the Anand town police.
Bhavsar is in jail, booked under Indian Penal Code (IPC) 306 relating to abetment of suicide.
