PDS foodgrain worth lakhs seized
Hardoi, Aug 1 (UNI) Administrative officials raided a flour mill here and seized foodgrain, meant for the Public Distribution System (PDS), worth several lakhs of rupees.
District Supply officer R N Yadav today told UNI that a flour mill at Sikandarpur village of Shahabad area was raided late last night and 800 bags of rice and 400 bags of wheat were recovered from the spot.
The seized foodgrain was found in bags tagged as Food Corporation of India (FCI).
Three persons had been arrested in this regard, however, the mill owner managed to escape.
