Newspaper wage boards meet in Kochi tomorrow

Kochi, Aug 1 (UNI) The two national wage boards for working journalists and other newspaper employees, set up by the union labour and employment ministry, will meet here tomorrow.

The two boards, chaired by former acting Chief Justice of Madras high court, Dr Justice K Narayana Kurup, will be holding their first meeting in Kerala.

The boards will meet representatives of newspaper establishments, working journalists and non-journalists of newspapers and other persons interested in the fixation and revision of wages for working journalists and other newspaper employees.

The boards will receive written representations during the hearing, an official release said.
