Mukherjee to contest for development on JVM ticket
Jamshedpur, Aug 1 (UNI) Jharkhand Vikash Morcha(Democratic) candidate for the August 29 Jamshedpur Lok Sabha bypoll Bikash Mukherjee today said the main plank for the party would be development.
Talking to newspersons here, Mr Mukherjee said, '' There will be no arithmetical but a political impact on the state politics for this coming by-poll and this election would decide the fate of the Jharkhand politics. '' Mr Mukherjee, contesting elections for the first time, said the people of the state saw both the regime of the NDA and the UPA during the past seven years and both had failed to fullfil their expectation, he alleged.
He said a new secular party like the JVM had all the ingredients to make Jharkhand a developed state.
Claiming the victory of the party candidate by a big margin, JVM central committee secretary Abhay Sing said the party had chosen a clean-image candidate like Mr Mukherjee.
He said apart from development the party would fight to eliminate ''Bhay, Bhukh and Bhrashtrachar'' from the state.
Mr Singh said party supremo Babulal Marandi would begin campaign for the byelection here on August 13.
He said Mr Mukherjee would file his nomination on August nine.
