Minister's son apologise to doctors; strike called off
Lucknow, Aug 1 (UNI) An Uttar Pradesh Minister's son, whose associates beat up doctors and staffers of the Civil Hospital which prompted them to go on strike, apologised today.
The doctors and staffers of the hospital have called off the strike following the apology.
According to sources, Dr Moga, Dr Sunil Chauhan and staffers of the hospital were beaten by the aides of State Minister Abdul Manan's son Mohammad Rabe, when he came for the treatment of his injured arm late last night.
About 15 people, who were accompanying Rabe, picked up a fight with the doctors to provide quick relief to him.
Doctors staged a demonstration for the immediate arrest of the accused and were on strike since morning.
Except for the emergency services, other services in the hospital were affected due to the stir.
Police force was deployed at the hospital to avoid any untoward incident.
UNI
