Magsaysay, a tribute to Sainath's courage : Gopalkrishna

Kolkata, July 31 (UNI) West Bengal Governor Gopalkrishna Gandhi today said the 2007 Ramon Magsaysay Award for noted journalist P Sainath was a tribute to his perseverance and courage.

''It is also a comment on those, who have ignored or played down the challenges before Indian agricultural population, especially its Dalit section,'' he said in a statement.
