Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi condole Ajit Singh's death

Patna, Aug 1 (UNI) Railway Minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi today condoled the sudden death of JD(U) MP Ajit Kumar Singh in a road accident near Siwan.

In separate condolence messages, both leaders described the ''untimely death'' of Mr Singh as a major blow to the country's Cooperative movement and loss of a young and dynamic leader.

Recalling his personal close relationship with Mr Singh despite being in rival parties, Mr Prasad said the news of Mr Singh's death came to him as a personal loss since he travelled with the JD(U) MP in the same flight to Patna from Delhi only yesterday.

'' He was in a very jovial mood and we had long discussion on various issues during the two-hour-long flight, '' the Railway Minister recalled.

Mr Prasad and Ms Rabri Devi also expressed their heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family.
