KMC submits water treatment plan for Centre's approval
Kolhapur, Aug 1 (UNI) The Kolhapur Municipal Corporation (KMC) has submitted a Rs 50 crore waste water treatment project plan to the Centre for the latter's approval.
KMC commissioner Kunal Kumar told reporters here today that the plan has been prepared as per directives of a Central Government team who had recently visited Kolhapur.
For the project, the Union Government will bear 70 per cent of the costs while the rest will be borne by the KMC. Mr Kumar informed that the Goverment has also sanctioned Rs 25 crore to the KMC for slums development.
