Chandigarh, Aug 1 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today denied that there was a cross voting by Congress party MLAs in the state during the Presidential polls.

The Chief Minister stated this while talking to media persons after presiding over Bharat Nirman Public Information Campaign at Naraingarh in Ambala district.

Regarding formation of a separate Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee for Haryana, the Chief Minister maintained that a decision in this regard would be taken after the submission of the Chatha Committee report.

When his attention was drawn to the statement of newly appointed Haryana Congress president Phool Chand Mullana that former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal's help would be sought in rejuvenating the Congress, Mr Hooda said Mr Bhajan Lal was an integral part of the party.

To a question, Mr Hooda said efforts were being made by the state government to generate more power in the state to overcome the power scarcity. The first unit of 300 MW of thermal power plant Yamunanagar would be commissioned by November end and the second unit of the same would be commissioned by March 2008.

The Chief Minister said a canal from Hathni Kund Barrage to Nariangarh would be constructed and the case had been forwarded to the Central Water Commission for its approval.
