Hero Honda sales dips 14.50% during July 2007

New Delhi, Aug 1 (UNI) World's largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero Honda Motors Ltd (HHML) today said the company's sales dipped by 14.50 per cent to 2,01,191 units during July 2007 as compared to 2,35,314 motorcycles and scooters sold in the corresponding month last year.

The sales numbers for the month of July are in line with the company's expectation. The slowdown in the two-wheeler industry has continued in face of the prevailing interest rate situation, and the monsoons in most parts of the country, the company said in a statement here.

The company has registered a cumulative sales of 10,04,044 units for the period April-July 2007.
