Goods worth Rs 2 lakh stolen from provision store

Puducherry, Aug 1 (UNI) Miscreants broke open the lock of a provision store and decamped with goods worth over Rs two lakh and Rs 5,000 in cash at Nellithope here last night.

Dayalarajan, the owner of the shop who came this morning found the broken lock and informed the police.

Orleanpet police registered a case.

This is the second burgalary in the same shop in eight months.

Meanwhile, Thirubhuvanai police had registered cases against 14 persons, for allegedly attacking the watchman of a now defunct private industrial unit and taking away several items in Sanyasikuppam.
