GM India sales up by 87% in July 2007
Chennai, Aug 1 (UNI) General Motors India has registered an impressive growth of 87 per cent in sales during July 2007, compared to the corresponding period last year.
It sold 4570 units in July 2007, as against 2450 units sold in July last year, a company release said here today.
The July 2007 sales comprise of 1601 units of Chevrolet Tavera, 1119 units of Chevrolet Aveo, 450 units of Chevrolet Optra and 1400 units of the mini car Chevrolet Spark.
"With a consistent surge in monthly sales, our primary focus remains to address the changing customer needs while providing them world class products and best in class service.
GM India has embarked on a slew of unique marketing initiatives to promote the brand Chevrolet and such initiatives will definitely supplement its primary objective of enhancing customers' delight, Ankush Arora, GM all India Vice President (Marketing, sales and aftersales) said.
