Gang of human traffickers busted in Haryana

Karnal, Aug 1 (UNI) Police today busted a gang of human traffickers and recovered nine passports and cash from them.

On a tip-off, police nabbed four members of the gang from near the Assandh bus stand while they were escorting nine youths of the state in a jeep to Delhi, ostensibly for getting them medically examined, police spokesman told mediapersons late this evening.

Gurcharan alias Pappu of Assandh, Balwant alias Ram Singh of Kaithal, Amandeep of Assandh and Rohtash of Nissing have been arrested, he said.

The kingpin Mohan Bhai of Delhi, however, was yet to be arrested. All the relevant information including cell numbers and addresses were with the police, the spokesman said.

The gang used to dupe ambitious but vulnerable youth from Haryana villages and used to fleece them of a handsome amount, the police added.
