Gang making forged arms licences busted, 5 arrested

Kaushambi, Aug 1 (UNI) Police has arrested five persons of a gang involved in making take arms licences in Saini area of the district.

On a tip-off, raids were conducted in the houses of Shivbaran Yadav and Virendra Chaurasia in Shakha and Mamasahi villages last night.

Police recovered copies of take arms licences and rubber stamps of government officials.

Eighteen licenced weapons and a countrymade pistol were also recovered during the raids.

The gang used to make forged arms licences for a fee ranging from Rs 15,000-20,000.

Five persons, including Shivbaran were arrested. They were sent to jail today.
