DSCL secures Rs 700-crore hydro-electric project in Himachal Pradesh
Bhopal, Aug 1 (UNI) Country's leading business conglomerate DCM Shriram Consolidated Ltd (DSCL) today said it has bagged a Rs 700 crore hydroelectric project from Himachal Pradesh.
The company will develop and operate the 108-mega watt (MW) Chhatru Hydro-Electric Project for 40 years, a company statement said.
''DSCL has the technical and financial capability for the execution of this project and is committed to its timely development with the help of the government. We look forward to expanding our power business by identifying and developing other hydro-electric projects, including cascade projects,'' company's Chairman and Managing Director Ajay Shriram said.
Under its energy services consulting business, DSCL provides engineering and project management services to both renewable energy development projects and energy efficiency projects. It is associated with 47 power projects in the country adding to 525 mw in various capacities and has offered Energy consulting to 13 international projects in countries like US, China, Kenya, South Africa, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Kazakhstan.
