Dadua's politically motivated 'terahvi' on November

Fatehpur, Aug 1 (UNI) In a bid to gain maximum political benefit out of the death of the dreaded dacoit Dadua, his son and district panchayat president Veer Singh has postponed 'terahvi' of the slain dacoit till November.

Panchayat president Veer Singh today told UNI that according to solar calendar the date for the 'terahvi' falls on August 4, but the the ritual would now be conducted at his ancestral village Devkali on November.

The post-death ritual would be followed by a grand celebration on the occasion of the foundation ceremony of the college named after his father.

According to sources, such a plot was made to gain maximum support from the people of Dadua's regions in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The 'terahvi' celebration at Dadua's ancestral village would provide a stage to display their political strength.

Amidst the debate of Dadua's death, his son Veer Singh had alleged that his father was not killed by STF, but by one Arvind Maurya and had asked to register a case against him.

Veer had also written a letter to the state human rights commission regarding the same, stating that Arvind, who used to extract illegal money for Dadua, had hurled bomb over him, which is an anti-human rights activity and the guilty should be punished for the same.

Earlier, former central minister Beni Prasad Verma had also expressed doubt over Dadua's killing and accussed Arvind of the offence.

Apna Dal president Sone Lal Patel had also sought a CBI inquiry into the killing of the dreaded dacoit.
