Cotton price flat on moderate spinners' demand

Mumbai, Aug 1 (UNI) Cotton prices remained steady on moderate spinners' demand and sufficient stocks, traders at the East India Cotton Association said today.

Following are the spot cotton rates per candy (350 kgs) in Rupees: Bengal Desi: 16,000, V-797: 17,000, Karnataka Jayadhar: 16,300, Y-1: 17,800, Punjab J-34: 18,700, NHH-44: 19,500, LRA: 19,200, H-4: Rs 19,700, S-6-A grade: 20,000, Bunny/Brahma: 20,400, MCU-5: Rs 21,200, DCH-32: 32,500, 26-MM: 19,600. Hedge Contract 19,700.
