Cop held for snatching purse

Jalandhar, Aug 1 (UNI) Police today arrested one of its colleague along with another Class IV employee of the department for snatching a woman's purse here today.

Police Division Number six SHO Inspector Gurmeet Singh said that police constable Daljeet Singh alongwith a Class IV employee of the police department Jeet were arrested at a naka at Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar.

He said the purse snatched from one Monica Khurana yesterday had also been recovered from their possession.

The SHO said that an FIR under sections 382 and 34 IPC was registered against them and further investigations were on.
