Bomb scare at Cardinal Grachious School turns hoax

Mumbai, Aug 1 (UNI) An anonymous phone call received by the Bandra-based Cardinal Gracious School saying a bomb had been planted on its premises turned hoax after the police failed to recover any such thing.

''We didn't find any such object after a thorough search of the premises and it appears to be a prank call,'' police officials said.

According to the school authorities, a school clerk received the call at around 1240 hrs. Subsequently, they informed the police. The police immediately despatched a dog squad and a bomb disposal squad to the spot and vacated the premises.

The bomb disposal squad conducted a through search of the premises, before declaring the call a hoax.
