Bajaj's sales in July dips by 7 per cent
New Delhi, Aug 1: Country's second-biggest motorcycle maker today said its July sales fell by seven per cent to 1,85,890 units as against 1,99,821 units sold in the same month in 2006.
The company said its sales of three-wheelers declined by 13 per cent at 23,089 units as compared to 26,663 units a year ago, a statement said.
Bajaj's sale in the two-wheelers category fell by six per cent to 1,62,801 units, whereas the company sold 1,73,158 vehicles in the same category in 2006.
Company's sales of motorcycles fell 7 per cent to 1,59,881 units from 1,71,115 last year, the statement added.
Bajaj's exports jumped 26 per cent to 53,718 units from 42,476 units a year earlier.
