AP Cabinet extends ban on Maoists for one more year
Hyderabad, Aug 1 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet today decided to extend the ban on CPI (Maoists) and its frontal organisations for one more year.
In a post-Cabinet press briefing here, Information Minister A Ramanarayan Reddy said ''the Government is ready for talks with the naxalites if they lay down arms.'' There was no change in the Government's earlier decision to talk with the naxals if they eschewed violence, he added.
The banned frontal organisations in the State were Radical Youth League, Ryutu Coolie Sangam, Radical Students Union, Singareni Karmika Samakhya, Vipalava Karmika Samakhya and All India Revolutionary Students Union, he informed.
