22 injured as lightning strikes in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, Aug 1 (UNI) Twenty two people were injured, three of them seriously, when lightning struck them at Kuteli Kheri village near Chuikhadan, about 68 km from here, in Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh.

Police sources said that lightning struck a funeral procession in the evening, injuring 22 people. All the injured were brought in a truck to Chuikhadan hospital where they were being given treatment.

The condition of three of the injured was reported to be serious.
