Two tribal women killed for practising witch craft

Jamshedpur, July 31 (UNI) Two tribal women were lynched by their neighbours and three others injured for allegedly practising withcraft at Kharia Bustee under Olidih police station here last night.

Police today said one Buddheshwar held the two victims - Parvati Sabar and Radkhika Sabar - responsible for the death of his brother-in-law, who died of tuberculosis yesterday.

The man alleged that the two women and their family members were witches and they killed his relative by using black magic.

The accused along with his associates attacked the women's house late last night and beat them mercilessly, killing them and injuring three others, including two women.

Police suspected one of the women was raped also before the murder.

However, post-mortem report would reveal the fact, police said, adding three persons, including Buddheshwar, were arrested in connection with the incident.
