Two killed in cutting trees, 12 injured in road accidents in Kashmir
Srinagar, July 31 (UNI) Two people were killed when they were cutting trees while 12 others were injured in road accidents in the Kashmir valley, a police spokesman said.
He said one Nazir Ahmad Khan was critically wounded when a branch of a tree, he was cutting, fell on him at Batnar Bagh in Chaterhama.
He was admitted to a hospital where he died.
Another person, Bashmir Ahmad Wagay also died in similar circumstances while cutting a tree at Pethpathri, Gulmarg in north Kashmir.
The spokesman said ten people were injured when a vehicle in which they were travelling turned turtle at Naqabal, Yusmarg in central Kashmir district of Badgam. The injured were hospitalised.
A 80-year-old Ghulam Ahmad Sheikh was injured when a speedy jeep hit him at Regipora in the frontier district of Kupwara. He was admitted to hospital in a critical condition. Another person was injured at Qazigund in south Kashmir after he was hit by a vehicle.
