TDP politicising Mudigonda police firing: AP CM

Hyderabad, July 31 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today alleged that the Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) was politicising the Mudigonda police firing to gain political mileage.

Speaking to reporters here, Dr Reddy said TDP had ''neglected'' the plights of the poor during its nine-year rule and added that it was now trying to politicise the Mudigonda incident.

Alleging that Mr Naidu had branded 'the victims of Basheerbagh police firing in 2000 as 'anti social elements'-- when he (Mr Naidu) was the Chief Minister-- Dr Reddy said judicial inquiry was not ordered into the incident even after the Opposition demanded it.
