TDP asks PM to react on party's demands

Hyderabad, July 31 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh react to the party's demands on Mudigonda police firing incident.

Addressing a gathering at the venue of his day-long fast here, Mr Naidu alleged the Prime Minister was not responding to their demands, including the sacking of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy from the post due to the police firing.

Alleging the Prime Minister had given a clean chit to the Chief Minister in the firing incident and did not visit Mudigonda to ascertain the situation, he said Dr Singh had not even responded to the letters written to him.

Terming the police firing on Left workers as 'undemocratic' and 'attack on the poor,' he said people would revolt against the government if it did not change its attitude.

Referring to the controversial Obulapuram mining company, the TDP chief alleged the Chief Minister had awarded the mining contract to his family members at throwaway prices.
