Rupee opens stronger at 40.46/48 per dollar
Mumbai, July 31: Rupee opened firm at 40.46/48 per dollar, nearly eight paise up, as against the previous close of 40.54/55 against US dollar.
During the intra-day it reached a high of 40.40 per dollar and is currently trading at this level, dealers said.
Rupee's move in ensuing sessions largely depends on the RBI credit policy review which will be released today, dealers added.
