Robbers kills housewife

Mumbai, July 31 (UNI) A 47-year-old housewife was killed by three unidentified robbers at Dongri in South central Mumbai, police said.

The deceased Nirmala Jain, wife of a businessman, was alone at her residence yesterday between 1330 and 2030 hours.

The robbers barged into her house and one of them hit her on the head with an iron rod, resulting in her death on the spot.

They fled after stealing gold ornaments.

Police have registered a case of robbery-cum-murder and launched a manhunt to track down the culprits.
