Puducherry, July 31 (UNI) Communist Party of India national council member R Viswanathan, MLA, today charged the territorial government with not having a "clear" stance in the issue of admissions to the private medical colleges.

Addressing a press conference here, he recalled that Chief Minister N Rangasamy had announced on the floor of the House that the government would introduce an Act to regulate the fees structure in private medical colleges and also get 50 per cent seats for it.

However, nothing had happened so far and the government was satisfied with the allocation of seats offered by the private medical colleges.

Pointing out AICC general secretary V Narayansamy's statement that if the government failed to get 50 per cent seats, the people would lose faith on the Congress government, the CPI leader said the people would lose faith in him (Narayanasamy) also.

It had become a regular practice of the two parliament members from Puducherry to claim credit for any sucessful schemes here and advised them to stop politicising everything and instead strive for the development of the Union Territory.

He also demanded that the opposition parties should be invited for the state plan board meeting since it pertained with the development of the Union Territory.
