PM to hold next agriculture review meet in Karnataka

Hyderabad, July 31 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will hold his next agriculture review meeting in Karnataka next week.

Briefing newspersons here today on Dr Singh's series of meetings with states beginning with Andhra Pradesh to step up the agriculture sector growth to four per cent in the XI Five Year Plan period, Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar said the next meeting will be held in Bangalore next week.

The Centre would hold review meetings in Maharashtra, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh before the Monsoon Session of Parliament commencing next month, he said, adding all states would be covered during the year.
