NSCN(IM) ceasefire extended indefinitely
Dimapur, July 31 (UNI) The ten-year ceasefire between the Centre and the NSCN (IM) has been extended indefinitely with effect from August one.
After a four-hour-long marathon meeting with the representatives of NSCN(IM), Centre's key interlocutor in the Naga talks K Padmanabhaiah told reporters at the Circuit House here that the ceasefire has been extended indefinitely, subject to progress of talks.
He said both sides had also agreed to strengthen the monitoring mechanism to make the ground conducive for the ceasefire continuance.
