Nadiar Sangam to organise star nights in Singapore,San Francisco

Chennai, July 31 (UNI) The South Indian Artistes Association (Nadiar Sangam) will organise entertainment shows and star nights in Singapore and San Francisco from August 6 to mark 75 years of Tamil cinema.

The inaugural show, which would be chaired by Tamil film producers' and directors' Association President S A Chandrasekaran and Nadigar Sangam President and actor Sarath Kumar, would be held on August six in Singapore.

On the opening day, Thespians Sivaji Ganesan's block buster ''Veerapandiya Kattabomman'' would be screened.

After this one Tamil film would be screened daily.

In special shows, yet to be released ''Arya'' and ''Pallikoodam'' (''school'') would be screened followed by light music programmes and debates in which leading film stars would participate.

After this, the Association would organise mega star night shows in Singapore on October six and in San Francisco for three days from November 21.

The valedictory function would be held in the city in January, Nadigar Sangam President Sarathkumar and Secretary Radha Ravi said in a joint statement here.
