Mysore Corpn admn to go on-line

Mysore, July 31 (UNI) The Mysore City Corporation has decided to introduce e-governance in its administration as per Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) guidelines, Commissioner K N Chandrashekar said today.

Talking to reporters here, he said hence forth details about birth and death, water tax bills, trade licences, details on various works taken up by the Corporation and property tax based on geographical information system could now be accessed through website launched today.

All the departments had been computersied completely.

The Mysore city was one among the selected 63 cities in the country under the JNNURM with a fund allocation of Rs 1800 crore each for the next seven years.

This project includes the overall development of the city including provision of drinking water faclities, rehabilitation of the slum dwellers and improvement of tourist spots in the city, which were considered for obtaining hertiage status.
