Mr Goel to be acting CMD of BSNL

New Delhi, July 31 (UNI) BSNL Director (Planning and New Services) Kuldeep Goel will be the new Chairman and Managing Director of the state-owned telecom major, replacing A K Sinha, who retired from the service today.

''Mr Goel has been asked to hold the additional charge till necessary orders are passed for a formal appointment of a new CMD,'' Mr Sinha told reporters here.

Mr Sinha, an Indian Telecom Service officer of 1967 batch, took charge as Chairman and Managing Director of BSNL on September 2004.
