Moderate temblor shakes central Myanmar

New Delhi, July 31 (UNI) A moderate earthquake shook parts of central Myanmar today, the Indian Meteorological Department reported.

The quake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale occurred at 0412 hrs and was epicentered at 19.3 degrees north latitude and 95.6 degrees east longitude.

There was no immediate word on fatalities or any damage, the IMD added UNI AKJ RL BD1427
