Milk price hiked

Vijayawada, July 31 (UNI) The Krishna Milk Union (KMU) has hiked the procurement and sale price of milk by a rupee.

Addressing a press conference here today, Krishna District Milk Producers Cooperative Limited (KDMPCL) Chairman M Janaki Ramaiah said the price of milk procured from farmers was increased from the present Rs 23 to Rs 24 per litre with effect from tomorrow.

The sale of milk packets to the consumers starting from Rs 16 per litre now, was enhanced by one rupee from August 10, he informed.
