Man arrested in fake currency case
Lucknow, July 31 (UNI) Police has arrested the proprietor of a private firm, who had allegedly deposited counterfeit currency notes in a bank in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh.
Sources said here today, proprietor of a Bharthana-based dealership Arun Kumar had deposited Rs 1.55 lakh in a State Bank of India branch yesterday.
When the currency notes were checked, 27 tenders of 1,000 denomination were found counterfeit.
Later, a case was registered against Arun by the bank manager, following which he was arrested.
