M B Lal appointed Technical Member in Electricity Appellate Tribunal
New Delhi, July 31 (UNI) Mahesh B Lal has been appointed Technical Member (P&NG) in the Appellate Tribunal for Electricity.
Union Power Minister Sushilkumar Shinde administered the oath of office and secrecy, an official statement said here today.
A product of IIT Kanpur and IIM Ahmedabad, Mr Lal had served as the CMD Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited from June 2002 to March 2007. He was Director (Refineries) Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (May 1996 to June 2002), and Director (Operations) Madras Refineries Limited (March 1994 to May 1996) and OSD/Advisor (Refineries) in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (June 1991 to March 1994).
He was also the Chairman, Scientific Advisory Committee on Hydrocarbons, Ministry of Petroluem and Natural Gas and Member Board of Governors, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Mr Lal had been awarded with life achievement award for contribution to refining sector from CHEMTECH Foundation and also conferred with honorary fellowship by Energy Institute, London, UK.
