Hindi movie passion made us cross border, say Afghanis
Palanpur, July 31 (UNI) Two Afghani nationals, arrested by the Border Security Force (BSF) on the international border while crossing over to Indian territory recently, today said they entered India because they were ''crazy about Hindi films''.
The accused Kamalkhan Pathan (22) and Abdul Samad (18), hailing from Regua village in Kandahar district of Afghanistan, said they were fans of Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukherji, Aishwarya Rai and Amitabh Bachchan and had come to India to enjoy movies.
Pathan, police claimed, had told them that the duo was working as waiters in a hotel in Karachi where they got a chance to watch Bollywood films on TV and therefore the accused hired a jeep from the Pakistani city and reached the Indo-Pak border.
