High alert in Fatehabad following CBI report on Dera chief

Fatehabad, July 31 (UNI) The police has been put on high alert in this district in the wake of the CBI submitting chargesheet in three cases pertaining to Dera Sacha Sauda in the special CBI court at Ambala.

SP Saurabh Singh said three more companies of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) arrived here today following the CBI filing chargesheet yesterday pertaining to the killing of Dera Manager Ranjit Singh, murder of journalist Ram Chader Chhttrapati and alleged sexual harassment of women in the Dera late yesterday night.

Heavy deployment of police had been made to meet any eventuality arising out of the latest development, Mr Singh said.

Barricades have been erected on all roads leading to neighbouring district of Sirsa, where the headquarters of the Dera are situated.

Security arrangements had been specially strengthened to check mass movement of dera followers towards the dera headquarters.

The SP said the situation was completely normal but the police did not want to take any chances.
