Heavy rains to lash coastal western states

Pune, July 31 (UNI) Very heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Konkan, Goa and coastal Karnataka.

Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka and Kerala. They are also to occur at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat State, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, north interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in west Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh.

The south-west monsoon has been vigorous in Assam, Meghalaya and south interior Karnataka, while it has subdued over Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan.

Very heavy rains have occurred at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, and Marathwada.

Heavy rains have occurred at many places in west Uttar Pradesh, north interior Karnataka and at a few places in Gujarat region and at isolated places in Madhya Maharashtra.

Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Rayalaseema and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. They have occurred at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, coastal Andhra Pradesh, south interior Karnataka and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Orissa, Uttaranchal, east Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Haryana, Rajsthan, west Madhya Pradesh, VidarbhaKerala. Dry weather prevailed over Chhattisgarh.
